The Grommet System and these leads have an opening towards the end of the lead especially for this purpose. The weight distribution and “pointed” design help the lead to stick firmly to the bottom, not to slide on it, and this will mean a perfect fixation on the bottom when using a smaller size than the original lead. These shapes are also very popular with steam hunters and the hole in the middle can be supplemented with a paste to make your bait more attractive. The original Big Grippa is equipped with a hardened coating, which is very durable.
